3xF. Fußball_Frauen_Fotografie offers the female perspective on the wide field of football an international forum. 11 women-artists from 9 Central and Eastern European countries as well as Irandedicate themselves to the world’s most popular male sport. With unusual points of view 3xF enriches the cultural playing field of the mega-event, the 2006 World Cup of Football in Germany.

It’s true the artistic photography on the topic of football is still a male domain, nevertheless it is especially young female photographers who are increasingly attracted to motifs around the world of football. The international project 3xF picks up on this and presents artistic perspectives by women – appreciative and critical, thoughtful or ironic – on a (still) male dominated sport.

The 11 women-artists of 3xF
Carla Åhlander (Sweden); Edit Blaumann (Hungary); Ana Gruden (Slovenia); Alzbeta Jungrová (Czech Rep.); Katrin Korfmann (Netherlands); Lucia Nimcová (Slovakia); Justyna Ptak (Poland); Zohreh Soleimani (Iran); Daniela Finke, Marcella Müller, Gloria Zein (Germany).

3xF. Fußball_Frauen_Fotografie takes part in the „Europe Train 2006“. The special train will travel from April 24th to May 1st through 5 Eastern European countries: Slovakia, Czech Rep., Slovenia, Hungary and Poland.
